In an effort to recognize and promote the high standards of private medical services, the third edition of the European Private Hospital Awards is set to be a significant moment for the healthcare system. In an interview she gave, Mrs. Păun emphasizes the importance of this gala as an opportunity to highlight successful projects in the private health system. “By organizing this event in Bucharest, Romania positions itself on the European health map, highlighting newly used medical innovations and technologies, as well as the ongoing efforts to improve the medical services offered to patients“, says Dr. Păun.

Dr. Păun highlights the complementary role of the private medical system in the overall health ecosystem of the country. Private medical service providers have contributed to promoting high quality standards, bringing together professional teams of doctors and state-of-the-art technologies. Thus, private hospitals in Romania compete at the European level, having the potential to become destinations for patients from all over the world , declares Dr. Păun.

Regarding her involvement in the event, Diana Păun explains that she accepted the invitation to be a member and president of the jury of the European Private Hospital Awards out of a desire to contribute to the recognition of remarkable projects in the medical field. Her previous experience in national competitions in the medical field was a determining factor in her decision to participate in this international event.

I gladly accepted the invitation given the scope of the event, the importance of Romania hosting this edition whose value is recognized by the President of Romania through the distinction awarded, and also because I know that beautiful projects are entered in the competition that demonstrate the involvement of professional communities in the medical field in improving medical services and the excellent way of inter-institutional and sometimes even international collaboration in the field, concludes Dr. Diana Păun.

The third edition of the European Private Hospital Awards takes place in Bucharest on May 29. 70 projects implemented by private clinics and hospitals from 11 countries across the continent have been entered into the competition.
